Notes
Note
about Jobe Explorer/Surveyor Personnal Pistol : These guns are uber and
if you can get one, use it as soon as possible and keep it forever !!! But it's
very hard/long or expensive to get one and you probably won't be able to get
one before you are level 170+ at least. That's why i don't put it in the "first
choice" list at lower levels. Nevertheless, it is possible to equip a ql140
around level 90 if you try hard.
Note about pistol skill requirement : it is important to notice that
the guns can have very different requirements. For exemple, with a pistol skill
of 900 you can equip a ql200 Original Electronicum, but only a ql175 BBI Faithfull
and a ql134 Kyr'Ozch Pistol !! Other exemple : you can equip a ql200 Flux Pistol
with the same skill you need for a ql140 Kyr'Ozch Pistol. Even if its really
slow, the Flux will OD the Kir at full agg.
Note about damage in Shadowlands : as you may know, the Hecklers the
players hunt to gain xp have a very high AC, in particular in Adonis and the
zones after. When this AC is too high in the type of damage your gun does, the
damage will be reduced to its minimum. That's why guns with high minimum damage
are the best in Adonis and after. The Hecklers in Adonis are still hurt by chemical
damage and you can use RoP on them with good results. But past Adonis, you will
really need guns with high minimum damage like JEPP/JSPP, Kyr'ozch Pistol, Argent
Blaster or Flux Pistol.
Note about Customized IMI Desert Reet 1000 : this gun is absolutly great
and you should really try to get one ! Since it has no MBS, the damage it does
will keep raising as you increase your AR. For this reason, and also because
it is fast and has fast recycling special attacks, this gun can be used at high
level if you have enough add damage in your setup (equipement and perks).
It is a great weapon to use at full defense if you have to tank, with JEPP/JSPP
in the other hand.
Note about PvP : if you want to do PvP (and you should cause it's fun
!) you will need :
- fast guns so you can fight at full defense
- as many special attacks as possible (fling, burst and full auto) because they
will hurt a lot the characters who are not playing at full defense
- good range so that you can kill from far away, especially for battles and
if you get rooted
